You may only vote using a Special Ballot if you are unable to vote at the advance polls or on Election Day if you are:
- physically incapacitated
- away from your electoral division
- an inmate
- an election officer, candidate, official agent or scrutineer, or
- living in a remote area, as defined in the Election Act
As Election Day is not yet known, electors requesting a Special Ballot should ensure that they are unavailable from March 1 until May 31, 2019, as the Election must fall within this time period.
Although you may request a Special Ballot now, they will not be sent out until the writ is issued, so if you are uncertain of your availability over the election period you may wish to request a Special Ballot only once Election Day is known.
