Senatorial Selection Act

The Senatorial Selection Act assigns Elections Alberta the responsibility of conducting an election under this legislation when the election is held in conjunction with a provincial election. Names of Senate nominees elected under this legislation are submitted to the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada as persons who may be appointed to the Senate of Canada.
